Process + Time In Toronto
It’s getting exciting as I will see the first ever ‘H-Chair’ in a little less than a week and begin to get it ready for IDS14!
But lets back up a bit. A few weeks ago I traveled to Toronto to visit the manufacturing facility I would be commissioning to turn my design into reality. I met with the good people at Maraham to choose a fabric for the chairs' upholstery. Before venturing to the Maraham showroom I met up with my good friend Jackob Van Regan. Jakob is not only a fantastic human being but is Chef at the renowned restaurant Origin at 107 King St East.
After meeting up with Jakob we traveled down the the Maharam showroom where we spent close to 2 hours going through sample after sample. We finally decided on what we felt will be the perfect choice for the launch of the H-Chair.
With the fabric figured out I can focus on the remaining details leading up to the show.
Check back for a new update this Wednesday!
